Questions: 51-60

51. Do you think you can have a good relation with …?
A question like this can be posed in the Human Resources area about your possible future boss. If they ask you this question it is – generally - because the person who poses it thinks that there can be any problem; and as they hardly know you, the most probable thing is that your future boss is a difficult person.
Think about the situation based on the information you have in order to create an adequate answer. One example: “I have had good relations with bosses and people I have work with so far and I have good relations with authority.”

52. If you worked at the same company for many years, they may ask you: How do you think you will face a work change after working for… years at the same company?
The work market has a lot of prejudices with the people who have stayed in the same company for many years, for example 20 years. If this is your case, think about an answer for this type of question.
One example for this situation would be: “With enthusiasm. It may be difficult for me to get adapted the first days, but I am willing to make a change.”
If by the contrary, you have changed jobs many times in the last few years, it is presumed that you will have a bigger ability for adaptation. If this rotation was excessive, your interviewer may think that you have a bad adaptability to new jobs and that is why you need to change jobs. Prepare your answer based on your reality.

53. What do you think about the company’s policies?
At some point of the work process, they will tell you about the company’s policies referred to Human Resources. If this wouldn’t happen, I suggest you to ask about it when the selection process is advanced and you consider yourself a finalist.
Once they have talked to you about it, they can ask you for your opinion.

54. Do you consider yourself an aggressive person?
“I don’t know what you understand by aggressive. I do think I have initiative and at the same time, I respect other people’s opinion.”

55. Do you consider yourself a person with self-initiative?
“Yes. I can state my own objectives and achieve them, considering the organization objectives.”

56. Would you work if you wouldn’t need money?
The work is in strict relation with the dignity of the mankind, so a person is expected to work for something else besides money to support oneself. Besides that, money can be useful for many other things, besides the living level.

57. Do you consider yourself a person sensitive to the criticism?
We are all sensitive to criticism in some way and even when they can sometimes be constructive, the human being has a strong tendency to see it as unfair. Accepting the critics is a sign of maturity and inner security many people don’t have.
Therefore, you can not give an answer as if you didn’t care about a thing.

58. Do you have an analytical mind?
We all think we are analytical and logical and it is not always like that. People who are identified with the mathematics are usually analytical, but this is not a fixed rule. You answer what you think about yourself. Remember that it is not necessary to be analytical to be in certain positions and, if you think you are not, it is not necessarily bad.
If you think you are analytical on your way of thinking, you can answer: “Yes, I can identify the problems and find a solution for them. I have a low level of analytical reasoning. As everything else, the good analytical reasoning is gotten through practice. That is why; I am looking for a job that requires thinking and acting.”

59. Do you consider yourself a practical person?
The expression “practical person” is sometimes used as an antonymous of “analytical person”.
Keep in mind that both virtues are very interesting applied to the work field.

60. Are you interested in investigation?
The comments about the previous question are applicable here. If you are a sales professional, investigation can mean one thing, and some other different one if you are an investigator specialized in genetics.
Therefore, your answer can have a different focus according your reality.
“I am always interested in new discoveries that make things easy and improve the operations and the product.”
