About how you manage your personal finances
1. Do you make a budget for your personal finances? If you don’t, don’t invent because they can ask you for details. It is supposed that a person who manages their personal finances in an organized way will be an employee who will manage well their orbit of expenses in the company. If your spouse manages the budget in your family, admit it, you will be honest by telling the truth.
2. Do you have a life insurance policy? “Yes” or “No, I don’t consider that a life insurance police would be important for me.”
3. Do you make any systematic saving? In Europe, there are retirement insurance policies –which may have another denominations in other countries- or a person can also save a part of their annual income or month by month. Don’t lie about it, simply expose your situation.
4. Do you have debts? Answer frankly, debts can be seen from many different angles: you have debts because you are ambitious and reflect your growth desires, or in a negative way: you don’t administrate your resources adequately and this is why you have debts. As you can see, everything can have at least two different interpretations.
5. What is your car’s model and year? Do you have a car? If you answer yes, they will also ask you about the model and the year. If you have a car that doesn’t match your salary because, for example, your father gave it to you when you finished your studies, say it. Your interviewer can perceive some information that “doesn’t convince them” about your possessions.
6. Do you have a driver’s license? If the answer is no, you can say: “If the position requires it, I will get a license as soon as possible.”
7. Have they ever revoked your driver’s license? Why? If it is like that, the best thing to do is to consider your personal situation carefully and find the way of presenting the facts as positively as you can.
8. When did you have your last physical exam? “It was on … (date) and my health …” I suggest you not to comment minor topics, such as I caught a cold last month, or similar things. There are people who have a natural propensity to be sick. Be optimist and talk only about some relevant situation or something your interlocutor should really know.
9. Do you have any chronic health problem we should consider? This is a question that can be illegal in some countries. Limit yourself to answer that you have no physical problem that can interfere with your duties. If you would really have it, you wouldn’t be able to work. Remember on the other hand, that the medical examinations are usually taken. If you are hiding something important, they will find it out eventually.
10. How is your health? The comments made in the previous question are also used for this question.
