How to dress - Men
Many times, you will have to go to places in which you don’t know the use and customs. Therefore, you dress the most neutral possible way, without taking risks of being too sporty or too formal.
For these cases, the ideal clothing is a sport two piece suit with a blue coat and gray pants, clear color shirt and English style tie. If you are older than 25, don’t use the resource of using cowboy pants with a sport coat, it is not elegant and it is only allowed for very young people.
If you are a lawyer or you work in the financial division, you can wear stronger colors and more risky suits.
If you have a lot of clothes, it will be a lot easier to choose how to dress and you won’t need my advice.
What can young men who don’t have a sporty suit do? It is convenient – if possible - to buy one. You can also wear one of your father’s, cousin’s or older brother’s. The key will be that the size fits and doesn’t look “like a borrowed suit”.
A good synthesis would be “Don’t dress too formal or too informal”.
Shirt: collar and cuff. Ties
These items are the most exposed ones in a male, even when we shouldn’t underestimate the importance of well-polished shoes. But the shirt and tie will be what your interlocutor will have visually in focus during the interview. Rule out that shirt that doesn’t look good with a tie or verify it is properly ironed before wearing it.
The tie isn’t anyless importance. Young people have problems with a well-done knot and older ones too. Don’t use flashing cuff links if this is not your habitual style.
These things look well if a person wears them regularly and you are used to them.
